If your HTC Home no longer show the forcast, this may be an issue with Internet Explorer having become unstable, even if you are using another browser.
Try this: 1) Close all programs. 2)Open Internet Explorer 3)Go to the Menu Bar, if you don't see the menu bar, right click on top of the window, a menu will appear, click on the item labeled Menu Bar to put a check mark. (The Menu Bar will appear) 4)Click on Tools, click on Internet Options at the bottom of the menu that appears. A box with tabs will appear go to the last tab...that is Advance click on it 5) On the box that opens go to the bottom in the section labeled: Reset Internet Explorer Setting, go ahead and click on the button labeled Reset... Ok, so in version 1.110.0 Build 110 Final Release it is now working with MSN (32 and 64bit versions) yay!! Still having the same issue in v2.0 withy no option to change weather provider.

I too am unable to set my City and get local weather. It constantly shows a very arrid New York, lol. Tried all versions inc 32 bit and 64 bit and version 2. On version 2 the program crashes after I try searching for my town.

The application worked nice, until a recent restart. Now it just won't work and only hides with the error "There is an error in XML document (0,0)". A reinstallation didn't solve the problem and upon clicking OK in the error prompt the process hides in the background (taking up 16MB of RAM), forcing me to manually close it from the task manager.

I like this App very much so far. 'Twas exactly what i was looking for.

This is not really issue but a thing i would like to see: toggle button for constant weather animation. The way i see it right now the animations plays only on data change (i.e. weather changes from sunny to cloudy, or on temperature change). I would like that animation plays the whole time. Of course, it's something that not all people would like, hence the toggle button.

Created Issue: Unable to position clock\weather widget at top of screen [433]

Using HTC Home 2.0 build 131 for 64bit

I am unable to position the main clock\weather widget at the top of my screen by the usual click+drag method.
When dragging the widget to the top of the screen and releasing the mouse button, the widget drops down away form the top edge of the screen.

I can close the widget, edit the config file by hand, and specify exact position, then when HTCHome is started, it is where it should be (at the top of the screen).

Since the Accuweather feed stopped working I switched to the MSN feed (manual edit of config file - option not available in UI?) and the 5 day forecast shows in 'F instead of 'C as selected.

Dears,

I am a student trying to understand this project. I downloaded the latest version of htchome and am using it in offline mode (my codeplex username and password doesn't work on the login attempt to the TFS Server). After compilation HTCHome2 and HTCHome3, i am unable to resolve the following issues. I am asking for help as i know i am missing some very small point. Maybe it works only in online mode. I need to be able to compile it atleast once to build some ground for basic study. Currently i am unable to resolve the references: log4net; i am getting errors on following lines.

using ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.Zip;
using log4net;
using log4net.Config;

Metadata file 'C:\Users\..\Widgets\WeatherClock\WeatherClock.dll' could not be found Accuweather

Metadata file 'C:\Users\..\Widgets\Music\Music.dll' could not be found WMP

File 'Options.xaml' cannot be found. WeatherClockWidget

Dears,

I am a student trying to understand this project. I downloaded htchome-5784 and added htchome and htchome.core to a new solution (to be able to eat the elephant piece by piece). Upon compilation, i got errors because a reference to System.Xaml was not correct. As i know, the system is built on .Net Framework 3.5. I also installed .Net Framework 4.0 (just in case) to make sure that is not the reason. I am using Windows 7 and am unable to compile the project. Please help me setup my environment. This is my first posting on any open source project site and will help me catch up with others once i start the work.
